The first presidential debate

The first debate between jhon Mccain and Barack Obama had taken place last thursday night where millions of Americains had their television turned to. The debate was definitely heated both of the presidents had their strong points but there could only be one winner. According to CNN with the votes from online, Obama was the winner. Most of the debate was about the economy. the economy lately in United state has been down, according to Obama the ecionomy has not been like that since the recession of 1929. United States is in 700 billion dollars bailout, what is the next president going to do about it? Mccain' s response was to freeze all the spending and watch it closely. Obama's response which i agreed with was to cut taxes at 95% for all Americain so they can get extra money, to start economic growth again and also bring middle class back. Obama also claimed, in order to slow down spending, he will make U.S energy independent, and also independent from the middle east when it comes to oil and gas. The debate took long more than it was supposed to, that is how heated it was.

Jhon Mccain' choice of Vice-president: wrong choice?

Jhon Mccain, who is the republican candidate for the election 2008, has chosen his running mate Sarah Palin on September 29th, a day after Barack Obama's amazing speech. Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska. In my opinion, the first reason may be because he was desperate after hearing Obama's speech, the second reason may be because Obama did not choose Hilary Clinton as his vice president, so he thought perhaps if he choose a woman as a vice president that will help him towards victory during the election. Sarah palin does not have enough experience at all to be a vice president. Even when she was asked on Televison what will she do if she becomes vice president, she points out that she does not know what a vice president does, and the only thing she knows how to do is to serve her community. I'am sure that America won't need a vice president who does not have enough experience or does not have any plan of handling her job in case Mccain is elected. On the other hand, the democratic candidate and his vice presdent Joe Biden are getting more and more people's trust.

Democratic national convention in Denver

The democratic national convention took place in Denver from the 25th to the 28th, in which democratics had their speech. That was the convention in which Barack Obama accepted to be the presidential candidate. Few important people had their speech, among them were Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, the Clinton couple, and the candidate himself Mr Barack Obama. The candidate himself had the most moving speech of all. During his speech, many people were crying. I was shocked when Obama's former opponent Hilary Clinton gave a speech to support him , so did her husband too. That was really amazing to me, because there was a tension between the two before the democratic candidate was chosen. everybody who was present at the convention, did show support for the candidate. Hopefully he will be the next president of United states of America
