Barack Obama cabinet getting ready

President-elect Barack Obama is already making presidential history by naming his cabinet team or at least the information is leaking to the press. According to Cooper, none of his predecessors chose their team that fast. I think that Obama is getting ready for his first term. I also think that he wants his team to start working right after the transition. As down as the economy in America is right now, Obama and his team will have to work very hard to boost up the economy. I believe that he has a plan to save America. With an economic crisis spiraling out of control and a lame duck in the oval office, presidential scholars say the next commander in chief simply had no choice but to make choices very soon. Obama is doing what the public and the markets demand be done ; and that is to show that the next president is really in charge before he even takes the oath of office. The conventional wisdom by observers was that the Obama transition team's vigorous vetting requirements would slow down the selection process, or scare away talent altogether.

Hilary Clinton: Secretary of State

There has been a rumor lately that Hilary Clinton might be the next secretry of State. During the elections, on Cnn she was asked, if given the opportunity, would she work with Obama? She said she would rather continue at the senate. But hopefully she has changed her mind, and wants to work with Obama. She might be under consideration for the post.The pick of the former presidential contender and Senate Armed Services Committee member would go a long way toward healing any remaining divisions within the Democratic Party after the divisive primaries. Also, Clinton has long been known for her work on international women's issues and human rights. The former first lady could also enhance Obama's efforts to restore U.S. standing amongst allies worldwide.

Obama's Visit to the White House After Victory

President Bush had a relaxed and friendly meeting with President-elect Barack Obama after he and first lady Laura Bush welcomed their successors to their future home Monday. The president enjoyed his visit with the president-elect, and he again pledged a smooth transition to the next administration. Acccording to the news, the two discussed national and international issues but did not provide specifics of the conversation. Bush also gave Obama a tour of the White House's living quarters, including the Lincoln bedroom.Bush and Obama held a private meeting in the Oval Office, while the first lady gave incoming first lady Michelle Obama a tour of the residence. The president and president-elect walked together along the Colonnade by the Rose Garden before entering the Oval Office together. They briefly waved to reporters along the way. It really feels great seeing Obama and Bush talking and working together for the best of the country. Monday's meeting was a historic formality, but it was also a time for serious talks. It marked the first time Obama has visited the Oval Office. Bush and Obama "had a broad discussion about the importance of working together throughout the transition of government in light of the nation's many critical economic and security challenges. President-elect Obama thanked President Bush for his commitment to a smooth transition, and for his and first lady Laura Bush's gracious hospitality in welcoming the Obamas to the White House. It's clear that we need to stabilize the economy, to deal with the financial meltdown that's now spreading across the rest of the economy. Hopefully This will be a great beginning for President Obama, and hopefully he'll get to run a double term.

The Historic Victory of Barack Obama

After many months of campaign, Obama finally winns the election of 2008. Obama is the first black president of United States and hopefully not the last one. It looks like it isn't just the residents of the United States that are excited about Barack Obama's electoral victory. Celebrations are erupting across the globe, as people are looking forward to the end of US hostility and aggression. World leaders rushed to congratulate Barack Obama today, basking in the reflected glory of his election as America's first black president and looking forward to a new, less confrontational era in US foreign policy. There had never been any doubt that if the outside world had been eligible to vote in the US presidential election, Mr Obama's victory would have been virtually absolute. But electoral etiquette prevented foreign leaders from getting caught up in the fever until the ballots were in and it became clear that the young Illinois senator had sold his message of change to voters back home. His mixed-race families, his childhood exposure to plurality and the hard life of people in Jakarta, combined with his intelligence and compassionate feelings toward common people will make him a great president who respects differences, cares for the needy and loves peace.
When he has accomplished all of this, which I believe he can, it will be a victory for me and the world

Negative commercial ads against Obama

Both of the candidates had commercial ads since the begining of the elections in order to gain voters. These commercial ads are done about the biggest issues of the country. Issues that are touching Americans the most. But for this election Obama was the only one running a positive campaign, because all of his commercial ads were positive, they were all about issues that needed to be fixed right away. Most of Obama's ads were the economy issue and also about the enrgy independence. On the other hand Mccain the republican candidate was having negative ads against Obama through the whole campaign. But he has been making false accusations about obama. That was a Mccain's tactics against Obama. In my opinion that was really wrong, and also was not worth it. Obama as being the best candidate for the election, has ignored those accusations and just keep motivating people to vote for him.

Nearly a quarter of Americans 24.2% say they regularly learn something about the campaign from the internet, almost double the percentage from a comparable point in the 2004 campaign which was just 13%. Moreover, the internet has now become a leading source of campaign news for young people and the role of social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook is a notable part of the story. The proportion of Americans who say they regularly learn about the campaign from the internet has more than doubled since 2000 – from 9% to 24%. Everybody uses internet as a source of information, at least people who have acces to it. With more young people going online for campaign information, the age gap in campaign news sources has widened.The internet is the only major news source that young people use for campaign news at higher rates than older Americans . People who rely on the internet for campaign news turn to a wide array of websites. The most frequently mentioned online news outlets are MSNBC, CNN, and Yahoo News.

The second presidential Debate

The debate was definitely tensed from the beginning to the end. But through out the debate the republicain candidate Mccain was really way too agressive. he was attacknig Mr Obama in every chance he got during the debate. Mr Obama as well educated as he has always been, stayed calm through the debate and was speaking really well about all the questions asked. Most of the debate was based on the economy issue that United States is going through. U.S has not been down in economy since the recession of 1929. Both of the presidents need to communicate their plan to solve the economy issue of the country. I think Obama has great plans for the country, and i believe he will make a change. Obama was speaking with confidence and telling about his while he was being attacked by by Mccain. The third and last debate is coming really soon and that is when many voters will decide who to vote for.
